Wow, I did not know that about Louisa May Alcott. My mom read me every single one of her books & I still love them.
And Henry David Thoreau is one of my heros. I named the fetal pig I had to disect in high school after him as a sign of protest

Those are some interesting facts. The urine drinking is gross though. I can't imagine what the nutrional value of that might be.
