There was a horrible earthquake in Peru last night. It reached 7.9 in the Richter scale and the city near its epicenter, Pisco, has been nearly destroyed. The communications haven't been restablished yet, over 300 ppl are dead and homeless, and the highways have collapsed.

The government has coordinated with the Peruvian Air Force to deliver help, supplies, health personnel, etc. And hopefully soon ppl in other parts of the country will be able to reach their loved ones in the city of Pisco.

Thank God my family and friends, who are all in Lima, are okay, still nervous and scared, but fine.
